Transform Your Water with a Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System…

And Create Delicious, Healthy Water Free of up to 99% of Common Contaminants found in the water

Universal Water Systems Colorado offers a variety of installed drinking water systems designed to remove contaminants from the water your family drinks. Installed drinking water systems can be tucked away under the kitchen counter or in the basement.

The perfect complement to an EcoWater System water refiner or water softener for the water-conscious family is an EcoWater reverse osmosis drinking water system. Our exclusive line of reverse osmosis water purifier systems are specifically designed to provide clean, clear, better-tasting drinking water by removing more than 95% of dissolved solids including many harmful contaminants. Now you can have bottle-quality water at your tap.

With an EcoWater Reverse Osmosis System You Get:
  • Semi-permeable membranes to reject solids
  • Three or four-stage water filtration
  • Specially formulated pre-and post-filters to reduce contaminants, eliminate odors, and improve taste.
  • Automatic shut-off to conserve water
  • Optional electronic monitor to alert you when filters need changing
  • Space-saving designs
Here’s How Reverse Osmosis Works:
  1. Household water is directed through a pre-filter for filtration to remove sediment, chlorine taste and odor, and particulate matter.
  2. The water is then forced, by pressure, through a semi-permeable membrane where a high percentage of the dissolved solids and other contaminants are rejected and flushed to the drain.
  3. A final polishing of the water is accomplished by an activated carbon absorption block filter removing tastes and odors. The water passes through this final filtering process immediately before going to the faucet whether it comes direct from the unit or from the storage tank.
  4. The automatic shut-off control shuts down the system when the storage tank is filled and water is not being drawn. This “demand production” feature conserves water by eliminating the constant running to the drain found in some units. The control also depressurizes the membrane when not in service extending the membrane life and reducing the need for maintenance of your reverse osmosis water purifier.
EcoWater Systems offers a broad range of reverse osmosis purification systems including the ERO 375, a state-of-the-art reverse osmosis filter. These products reduce substances such as chlorine taste, sediment, nitrates, lead, cysts and detergents.

Would have been three stars save for their management... making things right. This installation was to neutralize pH to stop ruining seals in my boiler.Arranged to have a water conditioner and iron removal unit installed. (ETF2300PF12)First scheduled install appointment I got no call, no notice no-show, After calling management found they hadn’t pre-ordered the filter medium so they had to wait for that to come in. He apologized for the miscommunication. By the time it came in I was on travel. The first technicians arrived and installex the unit in a very inconvenient spot - in our coat closet. It was never discussed where the unit was going to be located I just assumed it would be in the garage. Not only was this a very lazy install, because the very first sentence of the installation manual says locate as close to the pressure tank or city water inlet as possible this was as far away from the pressure tank as possible!I voiced my vehement disapproval with the install with management, and after I got back, technicians arrived these ones knew what they were doing and put it exactly where I wanted it and it’s been working great ever since. The technicians related that they get worked a lot and communications are screwed up so bear that in mind if you hire them.read more

My partner and I were at Home Depot and were approached by... a worker that referred us to EcoWater Systems to have them come test out our water in our new property. We received a “free gift” for new homeowner from Lowe’s in... the mail, calling that phone number was the best decision I’ve ever made as a new homeowner. Universal Water Systems arranged for our home tap water to be tested, for free, as soon as next week. It was horrible what we had In our water and what we were giving our dogs even! We were able to schedule installation in less than a week. Everyone involved was beyond professional and courteous. I am recommending this company to any and all of my friends with “hard water” issues.read more

Jonathan and his buddy were the best! 1. My dogs liked... them. 2. My cats liked them. 3 They were good conversation. 4. They ran into a few problems with how our plumbing was set up, but they took the time to figure out what would work and what wouldn’t work. They replaced a whole line under our sink that was no good to do anything with. They took their time!! They didn’t just say “oh well not my problem in the future” they made sure it would last. My husband was at work when they arrived and I felt safe around them, there were appropriate and kind, when my husband got home from work they went over everything again for him.read more

We have had our system a year. We like the system. We had... Universal Water come do a system check because we have Cherokee Metro really hard water. $257 changed the filter and rest the sink filters and checked the system downstairs. Tech told my wife wait 24 hours and the light will turn green. Light never turned green the whole weekend. I called the following week and told to reset the system again, I did and waited the 24 hours. Still the annoying amber light that is suppose to be green is still amber. I called later in the week the front desk person said she would talk with the service manager and call back. Still waiting on that call 7 days later. Piss poor customer service, and I would like my light to be green again. Please.Edit:Universal Water came out to correct the problem. Our system operating as it should now.read more

Frequently Asked Reverse Osmosis Questions:

What is reverse osmosis?

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a water purification process that uses a partially permeable membrane to remove unwanted molecules and particles from drinking water.

What does reverse osmosis remove?

Reverse Osmosis removes common chemical contaminants such as:

  • sodium
  • chloride
  • copper
  • chromium
  • lead

Some systems may also reduce:

  • arsenic
  • fluoride
  • radium
  • sulfate
  • calcium
  • magnesium
  • potassium
  • nitrate
  • phosphorous

How much is reverse osmosis system?

A Reverse Osmosis System cost depends on the type of system you’re looking to purchase. Under sink reverse osmosis systems range from $250 to $7,500. Whole house reverse osmosis systems range from $1,000 – $18,000. System costs depend on a number of factors but are most closely tied to the amount of water that needs to be filtered per day.

How to remineralize water after reverse osmosis?

You can remineralize water after reverse osmosis filtering through various methods. Most modern reverse osmosis systems include a remineralization tank that takes care of adding minerals back into your water for you.

How to make reverse osmosis water alkaline?

You can make reverse osmosis water alkaline by adding alkaline minerals and raising the ph of your filtered water.

What is not removed by reverse osmosis?

What is not removed by reverse osmosis may surprise some. While RO filters will reduce a wide range of contaminants from your water, it will not remove some pesticides, solvents, volatile organic chemicals VOCs (like chlorine and radon), dissolved gases (ammonia, carbon dioxide, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide), and organic contaminants (such as formaldehyde, methanol, acetonitrile, methyl ethyl ketone, etc.).

How much water does reverse osmosis waste?

Reverse osmosis wastes on average about 4 gallons of water per gallon made. If you use 3 gallons a day for drinking, cooking and internal consumption, that means you will waste about 12 gallons, making a reverse osmosis system about 25% efficient. Comparatively, a washing machine and dishwasher use electricity and hot water (which takes energy to heat) and waste every gallon of water they use.
